Can’t get into a Hawken game? Well here’s some Gameplay! (in HD!)

I’ve been playing Hawken as much as i can but also wanted to share the game with people who haven’t played, simply can’t get into a game (not sure if server issues, or not enough rooms).

Menu and Customization

A lot of the stuff was locked away like alternate parts and such. But this is a good idea of what customization is possible.

Lotta cool stuff like camo and thruster colors, i hope there’s a lot more by release. And that its not all only accessible with money (please note they give out the points free for the moment you start with like 4000 or something)

There also seems to be a pretty in-depth leveling tree system, certainly more in-depth than most ftp games i’ve personally seen, and a few games is not enough to level up, you’ll need to put some time into your mech.

And lastly showing what happens when you try to load a game, be diligent people! keep trying to join a game! eventually you’ll get in, with a few false alarms.

Gameplay DM & TDM

Gameplay is pretty wicked, for a mech game its really fast paced but still strategic. You can expect to go toe to toe with one guy and live to fight another. You can’t really move fast enough to avoid fire, so you really have ot take advantage of your surroundings.

There’s also nuances to how each weapon works too, and the items like cloaking and stuff.

Part of the fun is that zen moment of calmly (but menacingly) walking in a mech the “BLAH SHIT OTHER MECH SHOOT IT SHOOT IT!!!!”

So yeah, this game rocks so far.
